Welcome to Acoholics Anonymous
at the Grange
Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of people who share their experience, strength, and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for AA membership: we are self supporting through our own contributions. AA is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization, or institution: does not wish to engage in any controversy: neither endorses nor opposes any causes. Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.

NOTICE - Due to the current Coronavirus ( COVID - 19 ) Pandemic some BIG Group AA some meetings are suspended until further notice. We have reopened 8 of our original 11 meetings. Please see the BIG meeting schedule below for information regarding the in-person meetings. If you are looking for Zoom meetings , please join one of our online meetings listed in the schedules below.
If you are not familiar with Zoom, you may have to download Zoom for either the computer or the smart phone from your Apple or Android store or from the Zoom website, which will allow both video and audio communication. If you want to call in from your phone, get the Apple or Android App for Zoom from your appropriate "store" or on the Zoom website: https://zoom.us.
Good Zoom meeting behavior:
After you join, say hello then MUTE yourself so your background noise and conversations don’t interrupt the meeting.
To quickly and temporarily UNMUTE, hit the spacebar; release to be muted again. If you call in, please MUTE your phone.
It is suggested that Chat be used to exchange information important to the whole meeting, not to comment on people’s shares as this is the same as cross talk.
Anonymity in Zoom
“Anonymity is the spiritual foundation of all our Traditions.”
Personal anonymity provides protection for all members from identification as alcoholics, a safeguard often of special importance to newcomers. When using digital media, A.A. members are responsible for their own anonymity and that of others... When we break our anonymity in these forums, we may inadvertently break the anonymity of others.
As you are joining a meeting, Zoom lets you type in the personal link name that others will see next to your video link. You can just type in your first name and last initial, for example. You can also set what you want as your default displayed name by editing your Zoom profile. Please see the Zoom tutorial link. https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/201362193-Joining-ameeting
If you wish to join a Zoom meeting by phone only, dial 253 215-8782. Then enter the Meeting ID and Password of the meeting you choose to attend.
